5/22/2018 0 Comments Top 5 Underrated TV ShowsThere are TV shows that have come and gone, made us laugh, cry, and even pee our pants. And then there are the shows that we secretly freak out about by ourselves because no one we know appreciates "said shows" like we do. 10/10 of my brain cells recommend these television series stated below. 5. The Good Doctor The only reason that this is on the list is because everyone in America hasn't seen it yet. They're too busy talking about Stranger Things. (Disclaimer: Stranger Things is one of my fave shows so the fandom can stand down, please & thank you.) Not that I have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the fact that everyone is STILL raving about Grey's Anatomy 10 years later while there's a new doctor show that isn't all about romantic relationships (catch the shade?). Also, Freddie Highmore is very talented and deserves all the awards. PAY UP. 4. What I Like About You This show is not so much underrated in its storytelling, but in its comedy. Amanda Bynes' unique comedic style is what makes the show weird. Basically, the Amanda Show 2.0 but less sketchy, if you know what I mean. 3. SKAM A show about high school in Norway. Very relatable. Not to me necessarily, but more so to the cool kids who had a clique that nobody wanted to mess with. You guessed it, clique = DRAMA. (WARNING: If subtitles are your pet peeve, don't watch it. An infamous Justin Bieber song is featured in one of the episodes though, if you're into that.) 2. Felicity I recently discovered this show during my first semester as a college junior, so the premise of this show was fitting for this phase of my life. It's about a girl named Felicity and how she navigates through the thick and thin of college life. Familiar faces show up left and right throughout this series. I rewatched the series thrice during spring semester just to avoid writing two papers. Procrastination at its finest, folks. 1. Red Band Society Number one, hands down. Why, you ask? IT ONLY HAD ONE SEASON. AND, YES. I'M STILL MAD ABOUT IT. Shame on FOX for cancelling this gem of entertainment. I knew they couldn't be trusted. This is the same network that revived American Idol without Simon, Paula, and Randy. I miss seeing Octavia Spencer at Ocean Park Hospital every week. I think the most important lesson to be learned from this post is: Nobody's perfect. Everybody's entitled to their wrong opinion (ahem, Fox). Ya live and ya learn. Until next time.
